
William John (Bill) Dickman has 21 years of ICT industry experience with hardware and software equipment vendors. Based in Wiesbaden, Germany, Bill has matured his career with Motorola between 1987 and 2002. The vast array of different roles and assignments with Motorola took him from being an export control manager to Business Analyst for Land Mobile Radio products, to managing Marketing (incl. branding) activities in Asia and Europe for Cordless systems, in charge of a $23m revenues, establishing retail distribution channels and shooting the market share to 18%. From there, he took on the responsibilities of Sales and Marketing for the whole of Central & Eastern Europe and the CIS countries, boosting revenues to $167m, increasing the customer base 5-fold and the market share to 28%, meeting all profit and product introduction goals along his P&L responsibility. He was then asked to lead the European Marketing team of the Telematics group, where his team increased the customer base by 100% and the market share to 22%.
Bill is now Senior Executive Consulting for a strategic management consulting group based in Mainz, Germany, as well as for the Institute for Brand Equity in Frankfurt, Germany. Both companies rely on his valued skills in management and marketing strategy fused with his keen ability to apply a sales-oriented marketing approach, customer-driven focus in all the projects he works on while remaining a global thinker and local implementor.
Bill holds a BSc in Business Administration from Florida Southern College, Lakeland, Florida and studied with a scholarship at the University of Bonn, Germany. He speaks English and German fluently.
